AI Total US is proud to welcome Keenan Thygesen as our 2025 summer Genetics Intern. A native of Tunbridge, Vermont, Keenan was raised on his family’s operation, Farmstead Genetics, where he and his parents have cultivated a strong reputation in the dairy industry, earning multiple All American and Junior All American nominations across five breeds.
Keenan’s passion for dairy cattle began at a young age, showing animals at his local fair and participating in 4-H dairy and poultry projects. That early involvement ignited a lifelong commitment to the dairy industry.
Currently entering his senior year at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Keenan is pursuing a degree in Animal Science. On campus, he serves as President of the Gopher Dairy Club, competes on the dairy cattle judging team, and plays an active leadership role within Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.
In addition to his academic and leadership endeavors, Keenan has spent past summers traveling across the country working as a professional dairy cattle fitter, preparing elite cattle for shows and sales — experience that has further fueled his dedication to the industry.
We are excited to have Keenan on board and look forward to the enthusiasm, knowledge, and hands-on experience he brings to the team. Keenan shared, “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to intern with AI Total US and look forward to gaining valuable insights into the genetic and reproductive side of the dairy business.”
Welcome to the team!
